Terms of service.

Training sessions and programs are not considered booked on our calendar until they have been paid for - either through the website or via private invoice. This includes our follow up training. If unpaid within 7 days or by the day before the session - whichever comes first - without prior communication, we reserve the right to offer the time spot(s) to another client.

Private sessions may be rescheduled by clients with at least 24 hours notice without additional charge. Private sessions rescheduled by client with less than 24 hours notice are non-transferable and will be charged at full cost, with the exception of communicated adverse weather or illness. No-shows without communication will be charged at full price and fee is non-transferable. Last minute scheduling changes directly costs our small business money, and waste time which could have been used by other owners and dogs needing help.

As a qualified dog trainer and behaviour consultant I am trained to recognise and handle difficult behaviour safely and take all care to work with dogs in way that minimises risk to all involved. However in the unlikely event of an incident, owners are liable for any physical damage caused by their dog to property, dogs or people and associated costs. It is important that owners follow instructions given by the trainer to keep everyone safe.

For sessions where we are working on indoor skills, we will proceed regardless of the weather. For outdoor sessions, we are happy to train in light rain, cold etc. In cases of heavy rain or dangerous conditions, or if weather is likely to have a negative impact on our communication or your dogs ability to learn, we will reschedule at no charge.

We make all efforts to ensure safety and wellbeing of our clients, including being a qualified dog trainer, providing safe transportation, first aid training and situational awareness. However due to the nature of dealing with live animals in public spaces out and about there is always an element of risk. In the unlikely event of a problem, we accept no liability for illness or injury in the course of training.

Group class sales are final and specific to that scheduled class. Missed classes are non-refundable and non-transferable to other classes as due to the nature of the classes I can’t offer catch up drop ins. Please ensure you and your dog are committed and available for the duration of the block. Classes cancelled by the trainer due to adverse weather or other factors will be rescheduled to complete the block of classes.

We require puppies to have at least their first vaccination prior to attending classes in our secure indoor space. For other classes dogs are expected to be fully vaccinated. All dogs and puppies should be up to date with flea and worm treatments. However due to the nature of walking through public spaces where other dogs may have been, we accept no liability for illness. Please do not bring your dog to classes if they are not well. If unsure, please contact me before the class.

You understand when attending classes that this is an environment with other dogs, humans and factors outside of our control. We take all reasonable efforts to ensure safety and control within classes, but there is always an element of risk. By attending you accept this.

It is important that all attendees follow instructions given by the trainer to keep everyone as safe and happy as possible. Owners are fully responsible for damage caused or expenses incurred due to their dog at group classes. This includes damage to property or other dogs etc.

Dogs must be on leash in carpark and during classes unless otherwise directed by the trainer.

Group classes are not appropriate for every dog and situation. We have relied on your representation of your dogs behaviour before the class. If you have any concerns about your dogs suitability for the class (aggression) please contact us before booking. If your dog is excessively disruptive to the class you may be asked to remove your dog and the trainer will speak with you about alternative training options.

Any children brought to classes are the parents responsibility and must be respectful of other attendees experience. Please follow instructions given from the dog trainer.

Successful dog ownership and training takes time and effort, and there are no shortcuts. Dog training is a collaboration, and requires effort from owners as well as from us to be successful. We will work with you to adjust and implement training plans to suit your dog and situation (within reasonable limits) and help you get closer to your goals using our extensive knowledge and practical experience. However due to factors outside of our control/supervision such as owner effort, management etc, we do not offer guarantees on results.
