Don’t let your puppy practice things you don’t want an adult dog doing

Yeah your puppy nibbling on your clothes might be cute now.

But is it going to be cute when they’re doing it with their big adult teeth?

Yeah the puppy chasing after the kids in excitement might be fun now.

But will it still be cute when he’s almost as big as them and thinks it’s a great game?

Yeah the puppy playing stalky games with the cat might be hilarious now.

But is it still cute when it’s an adult dog fully capable of doing damage?

Don’t let your puppy practice problematic behaviours you don’t want them doing as an adult - changing established behaviours is always more challenging than just setting them up with good habits in the first place.
